World Dog ShowI´m going to Sweden tomorrow morning to see the PON at the world dog which is in Stockholm next weekend. The PON is shown on friday but I have to fly back to Iceland on saturday.
Since I'm flying to Sweden tomorrow morning I can also attend the show with the Svenska Gårds och VallhundsKlubben on wednesday right out side of Stockholm where 30 PON's will be shown.

The point of this trip is to get to know the PON better and meet PON breeders and owners.

I'm also going to use this trip to record videos of PON and interview owners and breeders to make a short movie about the breed which can be viewed here later this summer.

Summer show 2008
Sunday, 29 June 2008
We participated in the Icelandic Kennel Clubs summer show today.

Sumarsýning

The result wasn't as good as we had hoped. Kolka didn't get through - got Very good and 1st place in her breed. Kurt Nilson from Sweden was the judge and gave her this critique: "Feminine with good head + expression. Good neck. Good proportions. Enough angel. Good bone + feet. Could move better in front. Narrow behind. Good coat.".

Kolka was way to excited to be able to show anything. She bounced around and acted lika she was a kangaroo. The judge only let four of nine breeds into group 1 finals.

At least Kolka had lots of fun and there is enough time to prepare for the big show next autumn.
